GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - On Monday, the city of Glens Falls announced the end of a long redistricting process. Based on population data, the city's five wards have been outlined anew, with the goal of bringing greater equality to how those communities are represented. Bob Curtis and the entire task force undertook the process with 100% transparency. MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Village of Menands has declared a Snow Emergency. Beginning at 9 p.m. on March 13, all vehicles must be removed from Village streets, and parking will only be allowed when the snow emergency is lifted. Off-street parking is available at the Menands Public Library, Menands Park, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society parking lot, and the 800 N. Pearl parking lot.Due to the storm, trash pickup will be postponed one day. The Village asks residents to have trash out by 7 a.m. on Wednesday. COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Village of Colonie has declared a snow emergency due to the impending winter storm. The snow emergency is in effect from 9 p.m. on Monday until 9 p.m. on Tuesday. A 21-year-old man wanted in a quadruple homicide in Aurora, arrived in Colorado over the weekend after he was arrested in Mexico and extradited to Phoenix at the end of last year.The suspect, Joseph Castorena, was in the Arapahoe County Detention Facility Monday morning, according to a tweet from the sheriff’s department.Joseph Castorena, a 21-year-old suspect in a quadruple homicide in Aurora, has been brought back to Colorado. He arrived at 7:30 p.m. on March 12. Traffic Collision on Merle Haggard Drive Left Elderly Woman DeadBAKERSFIELD, CA (March 13, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a car collision along Highway 65 claimed the life of Maria Guadalupe Arce.The deadly crash happened on March 1st, at around 3:42 p.m. on Highway 65 and Merle Haggard Drive, near Meadows Field Airport.Currently, the investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the incident.Responding medical personnel transported a patient to Kern Medical, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Three Pronounced Dead after Stolen Vehicle Collision near American Canyon RoadFAIRFIELD, CA (March 13, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, three individuals lost their lives in a high speed chase on Interstate 80.Police responded to the scene around 12:35 a.m., near American Canyon Road on February 22nd.According to reports, officers attempted to stop a stolen white Hyundai that was heading east on the freeway. However, the driver failed to stop and the pursuit began.Eventually, the driver exited the highway at Suisan Valley Road and lost control. As a result, the Hyundai overturned.Emergency crews arrived and pronounced three occupants inside the Hyundai dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
